Layout and Colors and Pictures, Oh My!

Yes, I keep changing the blog. I'm having a very hard time coming up with something that I love... that's not purple! So if you visit a few times in the near future (and in the past few days) you'll likely get dizzy from all the different things I do. :)

I'm determined to find something amazing while snowed in. (I heard we have 28inches right now!)

On that note, I need a new blog name too. Suggestions??

More of the Yucky White Stuff

At least it makes for cute pictures! At last check we had 5in or so. Calling for 2 more feet overnight, and even more tomorrow. And then again on Tuesday. Wow. You could say I'm ready for summer! Not spring, SUMMER! :)

Like Mother Like Son

 He knows his Mama's addicted to Burt's Bees. Now he is too. He even has his own tube of it! 

(I really should get some of the $.99 stuff for him rather than the $2.99 stuff! lol)

 

He's such a thoughtful guy too. He wanted to be sure his best friend didn't have chapped... toenails?

 

That's better! Wouldn't want the dog to have chapped lips...

Sick Lil' Boy

Poor Tyler has had a terrible cough for just over 2 days now. It seriously hurts me every time he coughs. Normally he loves medicine, but this time it takes two people to force it down his throat. That does not make me happy. Poor poor baby.

His bedtime is 7pm and last night I was sure ready for it! But no. Last night he spent from 7pm-12am awake and coughing and puking and snotting all over me and him. We went through two pj changes, 2 sheet changes, and all three layers of shirts I was wearing! Tory was out all night, so it was just me and the sick pukey baby. If it sounds like I'm feeling sorry for myself... maybe I am. ;)

He finally fell asleep for the night at 12:00- just after Daddy got home. He slept through the night and woke up around 7am, was up for 20 minutes, fell asleep on Daddy for over an hour, was put back into his crib, and finally woke up "for the day" at 1:30pm! Poor baby was exhausted!

Now he's sitting on the couch with an endlessly runny nose watching Clifford.

The only good thing that comes from a sick lil' boy?

Snuggles for me!

*Edit: Tory just got home and, 15 minutes after I typed the whole "it takes two people to force the meds down his throat" thing, Tory offered Tyler the same exact cup of cough medicine that I tried for 30 minutes to get him to take, and the little brat swallowed it quickly and happily. Grrrrrrr.... ;)

Calling Meagan

Tyler's great-aunt Meagan is one of his favorite people ever. Tyler calls her almost every day... sometimes multiple times! And every time Meagan stops whatever she's doing to humor him and they "chat" until Tyler accidentally hangs up on her.

 

On the rare occasions where we get him to actually say goodbye rather than just hang up, he waves "dyye" to the phone.

Talking to Meagan is definitely one of the highlights of my kiddo's day! ♥

Tyler and Dexter

To me, some of the best pictures ever are of kids and animals. These two happen to be my favorite.

 

When we let our dogs in from the muddy yard, we wipe their paws with rags that are kept by the door. Tyler saw us do it maybe twice, before he started trying it. Now when the dogs go out he waits by the door holding a rag and waiting for them to come in.

I'm so glad Tory finally got a picture of the wiping! lol

All I have to say is that Daddy is the one who does bath time... ;)

Tyler gets sooo excited when we tell him it's time for his bath. He gets a huge smile and points upstairs and say "bath? bath? bath?" over and over again. ♥

Another Small Baby Update

Today was Free Ultrasound #2. :)  I am 14 weeks and 1 day pregnant, due sometime in the end of July. The 25, 26, or 30 depending on who I decide to listen to! I'm kinda hoping this baby is a little late, and born on August 9. Why? Because Tyler's birthday is 06.07.08, and I think it'd be really neat if this one was 08.09.10.

Anyway, everything is still looking great according to the ultrasound, which of course is terrific news! My mom, my sister, Abby, and Tory's mom all got to come and see the ultrasound with me.

Here's the little one today:

Head is on the left, you can't see the arms in this one, and the looong legs are bent and going up and to the left. ♥

I should have health insurance back by next week, so I should be able to go see a doctor soon. :)

Just Too Big

My baby boy is growing way. too. fast.

Here he is sitting in a booster seat- no more high chair for this big guy!- playing with my iPod and car keys, looking too cool in his awesome new striped pullover, with his big kid orange juice off to the side.
