Baby #2

I did it! I kept the big secret for over 3 weeks! We found out I was pregnant in the beginning of December, and since it was such good timing, we agreed to keep it quiet until Christmas day. Over the weeks leading up to Christmas, I convinced Tory to let me tell Zach, since he was out on his ship for a few more weeks, and of course, only if he promised not to tell. I also told Brandi, because I just can't keep a secret! But I managed to hide it from everyone else, and I'm proud!

I wanted to spill the news in a unique and fun way, and eventually came up with this. They're baby bottles filled with pink and blue M&Ms. I wrapped them up in Christmas paper, and we gave one to each of our parents.

They were all surprised, as expected, and we got to catch their reactions on camera!

Christmas 2008

Christmas came and went so fast! I guess I shouldn't be surprised, it goes faster every year. This year we went to Lori's for my family's Christmas Eve gathering, as usual. Then we stayed the night at my mom's house, so we wouldn't have to drive the hour out there on Christmas morning.

We woke up Christmas day ready for a hectic day! We opened presents at my family's house first. I'd just like to say that people told me they were "cutting back on spending" this year, and THEY LIED. Nick bought me a KitchenAid mixer, and everyone else went overboard on clothes, books, kitchen appliances, etc. Tyler got spoiled rotten of course.
He was a big fan of the ribbon:

After that, we headed over to Tory's parent's house for a few hours. There were more presents to be opened there. Again, they went overboard by buying me a sewing machine with all sorts of accesories for it! (among many many other things!) And yet again, Tyler was spoiled.
After about 3 hours, the rest of their family showed up. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were there for an early Christmas dinner.

After dinner and even more presents, we left for my grandparents house, where all my aunts, uncles, and cousins had gathered. We had another Christmas dinner, and yes, more presents.

What a day! Tyler ended up exhausted of course. He got a huge bag full of books, another bigger bag full of toys, and yet another even bigger bag full of clothes! Needless to say he has enough stuff to last him a looong time.
