October 15th

October 15 is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

To me, it's just one of 365 "remembrance" days. Not one single day goes by that I don't think about the babies I never got to hold.

My own little ones were lost on
January 31st, 2009 at 11 weeks (due August 17, 2009)
July 1, 2009 at 13 weeks (due January 3, 2010)
September 26, 2009 at 5 weeks (due May 23, 2010)

After my first miscarriage I began to pray for a "miracle baby." Through each of my losses I have wondered why this one couldn't be it. I have come to realize that maybe I already have my little miracle. I am so blessed to have Tyler, and I think that losing 3 babies after a healthy pregnancy has taught me to never take him for granted.

I just wanted to point out what today is to so many people. And tonight, millions of people around the world will light their candles at 7pm, burning them for an hour. I will join them this year.

More "Outside Pictures"

I won't call it a walk, for fear that you think that's all we do. So instead, here are pictures of Tyler outside. Not walking.
(This time it was just Tyler and his Dada)

Someone is super happy to be "not on another walk."

The latest thing is drummin'... on everything. With everything.

He likes to point at cats on his non-walks.

I think he's ready to go home now...

Yes, yet another wonderful (non) walk!

Another Walk

We went for a walk today... again. :)

Tyler was happy about it!

Well, Tory, Dexter, and I went for a walk. Somebody insisted on being carried most of the time.

We saw another dog. Tyler wanted to play with it. Dexter wanted to eat it.
(We also saw a bunch of cats, one in particular that Dex almost yanked my arm off to get at! No pictures of those, as I was busy trying to keep my arm in it's proper place.)

Just a cool picture.

And he walked his dog. ♥

Yep, it was another good walk!

[No pictures of Tyler and his Daddy, because evidently I am unable to take any good pictures. I took over a dozen of them, but all were either blurry or the lighting was way off. I guess I'm still getting used to my new camera!]

Gotta love him!

[The picture is obviously after I removed the water. It didn't stop him, as he enjoys playing with the food too. :P]

I was washing dishes at the sink. Tyler was playing behind me with my measuring cups. (Or so I thought) Every so often he would run up behind me and shove his face in my legs and rub his hands on my legs. Awwwww.... how sweet!

Eventually (after maybe a dozen of the face/hands in my legs things) I turned around to see what exactly my little guy was doing. (Don't ask me why it took so long for me to check. I should know better.)

He was going back and forth from the dog's water bowl splashing in it and getting water all over his hands and face and then coming to rub it all over my pants.

Gotta love him! ♥

The Vocabulary of a 16 Month Old

(The picture is "just because"... because I can't post with no pictures!)

That- The most common word. He says it ALLLLLL the time while pointing to whatever it is that has caught his attention.
Hi- whispers "hiiiiiii"
Bye- whispers "dyyyye" OR "dye-dye"
Hot- "HHOT" (no that's not a typo. he stresses the "h")
Dada- Yes, he knows who Dada is. Lucky Dada.
Mama- he has no idea what it means, but he says it!
Dex- "DE. DE. DE" He says it loud and repeats it over and over while pointing to Dex.
Dog- "DA" Loudly and points to whatever dog he sees.
Go- said while waving "dyye"
Gone- said while holding his hands up to show they're empty. ♥ He says this about food/drink AND if a person is out of sight. As in "Dada is 'Gone'."

Multi-tasking

This picture is the definition of multi-tasking:

It's hard to tell, but that white thing on my leg is a dish towel with which I playing peekaboo with Tyler, obviously I was playing tug of war with Dexter, and I was carrying on a perfectly normal conversation with Tory. Beat that! ;)

Ducks Again

I think somebody is over his fear of ducks!

[Yes, we feed ducks multiple times weekly. Don't judge. It's fun and cheap and a great way to spend time outside! :)]

We went for a walk today...

We went for a walk today...

Tyler stopped to watch a water fountain...

He pointed to the water...

He refused to smile for the camera...

He waved "dyyye" to me (and whispered it) as he started up the stairs...
He discovered acorns...
...and created a game of throwing them over the fence...
It was a good walk. :)

Reading

Today I was chilling on the couch when I looked over the edge and saw Tyler reading by himself. He was surrounded by books and talking to himself while turning the pages. ♥

I grabbed the camera and he looked up at me giving me a gorgeous/precious/perfect/heart-melting smile. ♥♥

Happy 3rd Birthday Dexter!

That's right, Dex is 3 years old today! This morning he got scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast, and he'll have some chicken or a hot dog with dinner tonight. (I'm pretty sure he likes his birthday)

Here's my puppy back when he was still teeny tiny. ♥

And here he is now, with a bone filled with peanut butter, on the blanket-with his name on it- that Tory's parents got him for his birthday. (I like this picture, because it shows his size compared to a twin bed!)
♥ Happy Birthday Oaf!!
