How to Feed the Dog: By Tyler

{There's a video of this on my Facebook, but these were too cute to not post them somewhere. :)}

1) Stick your whole torso in the container to reach the scoop

2) Grin at Mama because she caught you.

3) Make sure you have a few pieces in the scoop, then carry it to the dog bowl.

4) Dump the food into the bowl, trying not to spill. (But not succeeding!)

5) Repeat. Again and again and again. ;)

Burt's Bees

I'm only addicted to it.

I keep one in my pocket, one in my purse, and one by my bed. (insert me blushing here)

Tyler got hold of one of them today.

He put it in the Diaper Genie.

It's now in the trash. :(

That's stuff is NOT cheap.

I was NOT a happy mama. ;)

My Lil' Climber

Houston, we have a problem!

 

That's right, my little guy is no longer too little to climb onto, well, everything. The couch, the dining room table, and as you can see, the bed. He doesn't even need anything to give him a boost.

We do the following many times daily:

Tyler heads upstairs. I follow "chasing" him, while he laughs. He climbs onto our bed as fast as he can. He flails about in the pillows. I yell "Tyler Sandwich!!". He flings himself face down on the bed. I "fall" on top of him and "squish" him while he giggles that adorable little boy giggle. ♥
*This is the "flings face down on the bed part" in case you couldn't tell. ;)*

 Bed time for my baby boy! He sleeps with his special blanket (from a family friend) and his special "Stitchy-Stitch". (from Mama Kels) ♥

And yes, still with a bottle. I'm not worried about it like I used to be. ;)

Let's Make Some Pizza!

Q: What's better than homemade pizza?

A: Homemade pizza made by a Mama and her little boy, that's what! 

Tyler got a kick out of helping with the toppings.

Time for some pepperoni!

I didn't take any pictures of the finished product, or of him eating it, because it was gone too quickly! (And because I was busy eating too!) We made dinner together, and ate on the floor in the living room while watching Winnie the Pooh. ♥

Super Proud

Tyler was trying so hard to get into his car by himself! He kept ending up backward. Poor guy!

When he finally did it, he gave me a HUGE grin. SO SO proud of himself! ♥

Instead of going for a walk today, we went out back and I pushed him back and forth on the porch. Over and over and over and over again. Dexter thought it was terrifying and chased us and ran around the yard barking. His antics made Tyler laugh hysterically!

(I know it's a bad picture, but hey, I was pushing the car and taking a picture at the same time!)

Trick or Treating (Part 3 of 3)

We all headed over to my grandparents house for trick or treating. (Tyler's great-grandparents) We met up with a few aunts/uncles/cousins of mine there because it's usually the best neighborhood to trick or treat in. Not this year! Less than half the houses we went to were handing out candy. (Poor kids!) And we only saw 3 or 4 other groups of kids.

Tyler still had fun though. After the first house he figured out what he was supposed to do, and he walked up every driveway for candy. So cute!

Here he's staring at the ghosts that make noise when you clap. He was so sweet clapping and trying to make them work, but he couldn't clap loud enough. ;)  My grandparents have had these for as long as I can remember!

We got to see Brandon again! (And Crystal and Jimmy- my cousin and her husband) He's grown SO much!

This was a house where noone was home, but they left a big bowl of candy out. Tyler picked one piece, put it in his bucket, and moved on. :)

After a few houses, Tyler was done. (And so were Tory and I!) It had been a long day, so we packed up and went to pick up Dexter at Mom's house, then when to Tory's family's house one more time for "trick or treating". They gave Tyler some popcorn, candy of course, and a toy bowling set! I think Grandma and Grandpa spoil him a little bit... After just a few minutes we started on the long drive home... during which the exhausted kiddo did not sleep. He did fall asleep within minutes of getting home though.

We had a wonderful Halloween, and hope everyone else did too!

"Hippie" Halloween!! (Part 2 of 3)

After his nap, Tyler was 100 times happier! Everyone was home now- Mom, Dad, Kels, Mike, Nick, and Abby. (Ok, I guess not everyone... Tory was still out with his dad)

We all headed outside to hang out because it was so nice out. I wanted to get some good pictures of Tyler's Halloween costume. Here's what we ended up with:

I wanted a picture with his glasses and headband and a smile. I got two out of three, I'm happy. ;)

We also jumped on the trampoline! Something that Tyler loved as long as Mama Kels or myself was holding him. He was pretty unsure about walking around on it by himself though.

 

Tory got back and we all headed inside for some dinner. Which Tyler shared with Madden:

The Early Part of Halloween (Part 1 of 3)

We spent all day in Sterling with our families. I have too many pictures for one post, so this is 1/3.

Our first stop was Tory's parents' house, where we had lunch. Not just any lunch! Mummy dogs!!

Tyler also ate three whole bowls of pumpkin mousse. THREE WHOLE BOWLS. And he probably would have eaten more had I let him. Suffice it to say he was a fan, and I will be making it at home now. lol

There may have been some fun and games during lunch too...

Tory and his dad left for a sports memorbilia show that was in the area. Grandma, Tyler, Dexter, and I left for a walk.

As usual, the kiddo had to throw sticks and rocks over the fence. :)

And then he had to pick every leaf off of one tree. (And a few off of some others).

That's the end of part one. After the walk Tyler got a little fussy. Ok, a lot fussy! I took him over to my parents' house for a nap. He slept for over 2 hours before waking up in a wonderful mood. And that's where part two picks up...
